During her reign as Miss Black Delaware USA, Lauren considers it important to stress to young people that they can accomplish all of their dreams, regardless of economic and personal circumstances. An essential part of accomplishing one’s goals is adhering to the individuality and uniqueness of oneself. Therefore, the platform of Unchangeable Personas stresses to youth to stay true to themselves in the process of making their dreams come true; regardless of the criticism and hardships that are inevitable along the journey. By enlightening youth that education and community service can open doors and teach humility and life lessons we can implant the idea of success early along with high expectations. By providing a strong backbone, an encouraging atmosphere, and an unshakable faith in our youth we are not only showing them that we have confidence in them but that they are fully capable of reaching their full potential.

Robert Frost stated, “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I... I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.” It is the people who are willing to taking chances and develop the courage to accomplish their goals when the odds are against them that are the most memorable and make history.
